Christopher Heyerdahl Kamataki Gallery
The story is about a young man, who after a suicide attemmpt, is sent to live with his uncle in Japan who is a master potter. There he lears about life and himself.
Heyerdahl plays Scott, an American studying pottery-making at the feet of the Japanese master.
The movie stars Matthew Smiley, Tatsuya Fuji, Naho Watanabe, Lisle Wilkerson and Kazuka Yoshiyuki. It's written, directed, produced and edited by Claude Gagnon.
The movie is a Canadian/Japanese co-production. The director lived in Japan for several years and in 1979, he became the first and only foreign director to receive the Japanese Association of Film Director's award for best film, for his first feature, Keiko.
